Sobre John
During my career, I have developed a wide-ranging experience in the private and public sector. This experience has afforded me the opportunity to develop a deep knowledge of administration, financial management, budgetary/revenue policies, contract negotiations, property management, sales and marketing. I have applied these skills and have secured careers in non-profit work, sales and marketing for small to mid-sized international companies, property management for a large commercial developer and private banking.
In the public sector I have dealt with issues such as the following: fast growth which needed to be channeled to keep the downtown vital, complex and long-standing financial difficulties; school construction; economic development; open space acquisition and the clean-up of three toxic waste sites. My career accomplishments in the private sector have focused on increasing sales and market share while at the same time reducing costs; establishing Human Resources policies and procedures; and managing 25 commercial properties, streamlining operations, reducing costs and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
I have served in Connecticut General Assembly and Mayor in the Town of Fairfield, CT, I currently resides in Mexico and assists with numerous non-profits. In addition, I teach English to both corporate and private clientele. Corporate clients include, Tekada Pharmaceuticals, Warner Music and MD Apoyo. Finally, I would like to add that my diverse professional background and experience affords me the skill set to teach English from a practical and functional perspective, affording the student an additional asset in their personal and professional life.
