I am a freelance, native speaker and fully qualified teacher of English who has lived in Barcelona since January, 2019. I teach to adults of all ages, in-company, at home and in cafes. I am a professional, fun and engaging teacher.

Because I have a writing and theatre background I specialize in speech and pronunciation, grammar and writing.
I can offer the contact details of some students if you want to hear more about me. They are happy to talk about my teaching. Below is a list of what some of my students say about me….

“Lovely teacher!”
“Very good teacher. Extensive content and very good use of your teaching method!”
“The super fast class has passed us by today. It has been very entertaining with a lot of conversation and using a lot of vocabulary from the units studied.”
“As a substitute for our regular teacher it has been very nice and my daughters are delighted.”
“It is very noticeable that he teaches a lot of classes.”
“Super! I liked it a lot!”
“He is the best teacher I have ever had.”
“It is very fun.”
“Good teacher very kind.”
“Perfect.”

Education
Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) Australia College 2018.
Diploma of Education, Southern Cross University, Australia 2014.
Bachelor of Arts (Film, TV, Theatre Arts, Writing, Language and Culture) Curtin University, Australia 1986/2000.

I came to Barcelona on January 4th, 2019 for a holiday and decided to live here. I have worked in many different kinds of jobs throughout the big continent of Australia: filmmaker, theatre technician, fisherman, cook, farmhand and assisting newly arrived refugees. I am a musician and I love jazz, poetry readings, movies, swimming, tennis, bike riding and learning Espanol.

I adapt to your needs and I am a creative and energetic teacher who is fun to be around. I am very focused on gifting you the best lesson I can so that your English progresses. I have also trained as an actor so pronunciation is a strong focus of mine. Our lessons will be fun, relaxed but full of learning!

Precisiones

The price varies but is never 1 Euro.
The price is 25 Euro per hour for a one-on-one class but it is 40 Euro if you bring a friend. If you bring 3 friends, the price goes down for you again. The more people the cheaper for you. The first free lesson is not really a lesson. It is an introduction so we can establish your needs and whether you want me to teach you.
