Hello! My name is Anjali, and I am currently pursuing my MBA at IE Business School in Madrid. I have a background in Psychology and Engineering, and several years of professional experience working with global organizations such as Goldman Sachs and Accenture. Alongside my studies and career, I have always been passionate about education, communication, and helping people build confidence in themselves.
I have taught English to children through NGO schools, volunteered with educational and community initiatives, and worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups. These experiences taught me that every student learns differently, which is why I adapt my teaching style to each person's needs and goals. My teaching approach is student-centered, practical, and encouraging. I believe people learn a language best when they feel comfortable making mistakes and actively using the language, rather than simply memorizing rules. I adapt my lessons to each student's goals, pace, and learning style, whether they want to improve conversation skills, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or overall confidence in English.
A typical lesson begins with a short conversation or activity to build confidence and assess progress. Depending on the student's needs, we then work on specific areas such as speaking, reading, writing, listening, grammar, or exam preparation. I like to use real-world examples, articles, videos, role plays, and interactive exercises to make learning engaging and relevant. At the end of each lesson, I summarize key takeaways and suggest practical exercises for continued improvement.
My strengths as a tutor are patience, empathy, and strong communication skills. My background in Psychology helps me understand different learning styles and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence. I also have experience teaching English to children through NGO schools and working with people from diverse backgrounds.
