I am Lina, a native French girl of 23yo. I'm studying to have my master in Marketing & Branding and I want to work in the music industry. I lived in Lyon, Paris, Marseille and Aix en Provence.
I love music and cooking.

The French language is constantly and rapidly evolving, and I want to guide my students through this evolution so they can understand and speak authentic, modern French with confidence. I also care a lot about the image of French culture: the version most people know around the world is often very traditional and old-fashioned, while France today has a rich, urban culture that is not highlighted enough. With students who are interested, I'd love to share this contemporary culture – from everyday habits and politeness codes to music, food and urban life – so that you don’t just learn a language, but also feel at ease in today’s France.

I focus on immersive, personalized lessons that make you feel comfortable speaking real-life French, not just what’s in textbooks.

Teaching techniques and methodology :
In my lessons we speak almost only French, from the very beginning, so your brain gets used to the language quickly, similar to 100% immersive schools. This is how I became fluent in English myself, and I apply the same approach with French. I adapt the language level to you, and we only use English as a last resort if something is really unclear.

I also adjust my methods to your learning style: visual learners (cards, images, colours), auditory learners (listening, repetition, dialogues), or “writing” learners (notes, exercises, short texts).

Depending on your goals (oral or written, exam preparation or daily life), I design custom activities so every minute of the lesson matches what you need in real life.

Example lesson plan : (beginner level)
For a complete beginner, a typical first lesson can look like this.

- Alphabet and basic sounds, so you get familiar with French pronunciation through simple repetition and games.

- Introductions: learning to say your name, age, nationality, and where you live, then practising small dialogues.

- Step-by-step verbs: we only introduce verbs as we use them in simple sentences (je suis, j’ai, j’aime, etc.), not a long list to memorize.

- Numbers and everyday questions: asking and answering things like “How are you?”, “Where are you from?”, “What do you like?”.

I use flashcards, small role-plays, adjective games and short videos or songs to keep you active and make the lesson fun and memorable.

My strengths as a tutor :
I am a native French speaker and I studied literature (bac L), so I can help you with both everyday language and more formal French. One of my biggest strengths is that I can teach you real “slang” and expressions used by young people and even many people in their 30s, which are often very different from what you see in textbooks.

Beyond the language, I love sharing French culture: politeness codes, food, habits, music, and tips to integrate if you plan a trip, an Erasmus stay, or simply want to understand French people better.

With me you learn how French is actually spoken in the street, at university, with friends, and at the same time how to be polite and appropriate in more formal situations.
