Sobre Philip
Hi, my name is Philip, and I am from Oxford, England.
I’m an English teacher who was born in Romania, but grew up in England from the age of 8.
From a young age I have always been the most outgoing person in my family, always wanting to talk to people and find out as much about them as possible. This led me to pursue a career focused on working with people.
I would say I am very easy to talk to and do not take life too seriously, it's for enjoying too. I have a background in social work which I studied for and worked as in Oxford. I also have experience working in IT sales and customer service for many companies over the years.
This has helped me shape my communication and my people skills which I also incorporate in my lessons. It has also given me experience in many different fields which I can utilise to teach more specific areas of the English language, namely sales, business, psychology or social work.

My lessons focus on building confidence through real, humorous and everyday conversation, using practical vocabulary and personalised discussions based on students’ own experiences, opinions, and goals.
I use easy English, and I ask lots of questions to help keep the conversation going. If you need anything explained, I will use many examples of when we would use certain words and phrases.
