Sobre Tania
I’m French and grew up in a bilingual French-Spanish household with my Venezuelan mother, who was also a translator. She introduced me to English when I was 10, and I have now been speaking and using it for more than 12 years.
Throughout my life, I’ve had the opportunity to travel, meet people from different countries and communicate across different languages and cultures. These experiences taught me that learning a language is not only about studying grammar or memorising vocabulary. It is also about learning how to communicate with the knowledge you already have, understanding people through context and, most importantly, losing the fear of making mistakes.
I have been living in Spain for 8 years, and Spanish is part of my everyday life. Having grown up with French and Spanish and later learning English has given me different perspectives on how we learn and use languages.
I’m now starting to teach languages formally, so I prefer to be transparent: I don’t have a formal teaching qualification. What I can offer is years of real-life experience using different languages, patience, adaptability and an approach strongly based on communication and practice.
I would be happy to work with people of any age, background or level, whether you have just arrived in Spain and need Spanish for everyday life, want to communicate better at work, prepare for a trip, improve your conversational skills or simply learn the language because you enjoy it.
Above all, I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, trying, making mistakes and trying again. My goal is to adapt to each person and help you become increasingly independent and confident when communicating in Spanish.
Et pour les francophones : je parle français, donc même si vous débutez complètement en espagnol, nous pourrons utiliser le français comme langue d’appui lorsque ce sera nécessaire.

My lessons are based on a direct, communicative and immersive approach. The goal is to use Spanish from the very beginning and gradually reduce the need to translate everything into your native language.
When you don’t understand a word, instead of immediately translating it, we’ll first try to understand it through context, examples, synonyms, images, gestures or simple explanations in Spanish. This helps you develop the ability to use what you already know and gradually start thinking directly in Spanish.
Lessons can combine conversation, listening comprehension, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, always applied to real situations. Depending on your goals, we can work with situations you may actually encounter: meeting people, shopping, going to a restaurant, travelling, dealing with everyday tasks, communicating at work or simply feeling more confident in conversations.
For complete beginners, don’t worry: I speak English and French, so we can use either language as support whenever necessary. As your Spanish improves, we will progressively use them less and increase the amount of Spanish spoken during the lesson.
Every class will be adapted to your level, pace, interests and goals. Whether you are learning Spanish for everyday life, work, travel, studies or simply because you enjoy the language, we can build the lessons around what is actually useful to you.
My aim is to create a small Spanish immersion experience where making mistakes is a natural part of learning. You don’t need to understand every single word to communicate: we will work on using the knowledge you already have, finding alternative ways to express yourself and becoming increasingly comfortable speaking Spanish.
