Hello! My name is Bethan and I'm an English teacher and tutor currently living in Barcelona. I am CELTA qualified and have experience teaching classes and 1-1 lessons at International House London as well as online platforms. Although I'm originally from London, I moved to Spain to continue teaching English and develop as a teacher here. I am also studying Spanish myself so I understand exactly what learning a new language feels like! My background is in English Literature and I hold both undergraduate and master's degrees in the subject. During my master's, I began tutoring and developing a love for teaching and inspiring others with language.

Whether you are preparing for an exam like IELTS, looking to practice business English, General English or literature, I am able to teach across a broad range of areas and levels. My teaching style is relaxed, student-focused and communicative, prioritizing getting my students speaking as soon as possible. I like to put my students' interests at the heart of the lesson, to help you communicate what you care about most. I like to use a variety of techniques in the classroom to make your learning experience enjoyable and memorable. First and foremost, I tailor my lessons to the students' needs. During our free session, we would establish together how you learn best and we will create an action plan for moving forward.
